Why is my Pageraise account under review?

Is your Pageraise account under review? Learn why accounts get reviewed, what you can and can't do in the meantime, and how to get the review lifted.

Updated October 15, 2026

Your account is most likely under review because of an automatic safety check that runs when people sign up. You can still sign in and edit your profile, but some activity is paused until a person on the Pageraise team looks at it and lifts the review.

If you're seeing this, please don't worry. A review isn't an accusation. It's simply a pause while a real person takes a look.

Why accounts get placed under review

Pageraise is a place where real money changes hands, so we work hard to keep it safe for creators and donors. Part of that is an automatic safety check at sign-up. Sometimes that check places an account under review so a person can take a closer look.

It's a precaution, and it's the reason a person, not a machine, makes the final call.

What you can still do

While your account is under review, you can:

  • Edit your profile (for example your display name, bio and photo in Settings)

What's paused during a review

While your account is under review, it can't:

  • Create or edit fundraises
  • Post updates or gallery posts
  • Follow people
  • Comment or like
  • Donate
  • Receive donations

Your fundraises and profile are also hidden from the public during the review.

If you were planning to create your first fundraise or connect Stripe and get paid, those guides will be ready for you as soon as your account is cleared.

How to get the review lifted

Only the Pageraise team can lift a review, because a person needs to look at it. Here's how to ask:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Help button in the corner of the screen to open Paige, our assistant.
  3. Let Paige know your account is under review and ask to bring in someone from the team.

A person on our team will then take a look. It can help to share a little about what you plan to use Pageraise for, for example the fundraise you'd like to run.

While you wait

Our Platform Guidelines list what isn't allowed on Pageraise. It's worth a quick read so you can be sure your plans fit. You can also keep your profile up to date in Settings, since editing your profile still works during a review. Display names need to be 2 to 50 characters, contain a letter, and have no links or @ handles.

If you can't sign in at all

An account under review can still sign in. If you're having trouble getting in, the issue is likely something else, like a forgotten password or an unconfirmed email. Our guide to signing in, passwords and usernames walks through the fixes.
