Signing in, forgot password, and username rules

Forgot your Pageraise password or can't sign in? Learn how to reset your password, fix expired links, and understand the username and display name rules.

Updated October 15, 2026

You can sign in to Pageraise with either your username or your email address. If you forgot your password, use the forgot password page to get a reset link, and open that link in the same browser you requested it from.

Most sign-in trouble comes down to a few small things, so let's walk through them.

How to sign in

Go to sign in and enter your username or your email address, along with your password. Either one works, so use whichever you remember.

Don't have an account yet? You can sign up with a username, email and password. After that, you'll confirm your email and then set a display name and bio.

Forgot password: how to reset it

  1. Go to the forgot password page.
  2. Enter your email address and request a reset link.
  3. Open the link from your email in the same browser you used to request it.
  4. Choose a new password.

Why the same browser matters

For security, the reset link is tied to the browser that requested it. If you request the link on your laptop but open the email on your phone, it won't work. Open it on the same device and in the same browser you started from.

If you see a message that your link expired, request a new one from the forgot password page, using the same browser, and open the new link there.

Confirming your email after sign-up

Email confirmation links work the same way as reset links. Open the confirmation email in the same browser you used to sign up. If you open it somewhere else, the confirmation may not go through.

Once your email is confirmed and your profile is set up, you're ready to create your first fundraise.

Username rules

Your username is part of your public profile link, pageraise.com/your-username, which is why usernames are permanent and can't be changed. It's worth choosing one you'll be happy with.

A username must:

  • Be 3 to 15 characters long
  • Use only lowercase letters, numbers and underscores
  • Contain at least one letter (it can't be all numbers)
  • Not start or end with an underscore
  • Not include a double underscore
  • Not repeat the same character three times in a row
  • Not be one of a few reserved words

If a username isn't accepted, it's usually one of these rules. Try a small variation.

Display name rules

Your display name is the friendly name people see on your profile. Unlike your username, you can change it any time in Settings.

A display name must:

  • Be 2 to 50 characters long
  • Contain at least one letter
  • Not include links or @ handles

A display name that matches your username is completely fine. If your username is "sam" and your display name is "Sam," that works.

Updating your profile

In Settings you can change your display name, bio, website, profile photo, cover banner (upload your own or pick one of 10 preset covers), and your social links. For social links, you type only your handle, never the full URL.

Your public profile lives at pageraise.com/your-username, and clicking your name in the dashboard sidebar opens it.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is handled by the Pageraise team. The Delete Account button in Settings explains how it works, and a team member processes the request. You can ask Paige, our assistant, to bring in someone from the team.

Still can't get in?

If you can sign in but some features seem blocked, your account may be under review. See why your account is under review. Once you're signed in, you can always click the Help button in the corner of the screen to ask Paige for help.

Common questions
